Tour Plan

Day 1:

Arrive at Calicut airport/railway station /bus station. Our representative will meet you on arrival and transfer you to Wayanad.

Wayanad is 90 km away from Calicut and is 2.5 hrs journey through the twists and turns of famous Thamarassery hills. Wayanad shares border with our neighbouring states Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Wayanad is famous for its wilderness and breathtaking views.

Enroute you could make a pit stop at Pookode Lake, which is a freshwater lake with thick forest surrounding it and spanning over 13 acres. Here you have an option to do some peddle boating and burn some calories.

On reaching Wayanad we will check you into a resort and you can relax for the day and explore the ambience of resort. No activities planned for the day.

Day 2:

Wakeup refreshed and after breakfast from your resort you set out to explore two major places Banasura Sagar Dam and Kuruva Dweep.

Banasura Sagar Dam is the largest earth dam in India and the second largest of its kind in Asia. The dam is made up of massive stacks of stones and boulders. Tourism department offers boating in the lake here. The dam is surrounded by Banasura Hills and is an ideal spot for trekking.

Kuruvadweep or Kuruva Island comprises of a cluster of islets over the middle of Kabini River in Wayanad that is popular for the boat rides it offers on specially crafted bamboo rafts. Spread over 950 acres of land, Kuruva Island, is popular for its diverse flora and fauna. The island has many small freshwater lakes as well.

We wind our tour for the day and head back to resort and leave you at your comfort for the rest of the day.

Day 3:

Today we start our day early in the morning as we plan to visit Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary for a jeep safari. The safari starts early in the morning and is subject to climate conditions and ticket availability, so the earlier we reach the better.

Muthanga is a protected belt of forest which is home to few tribals who live in harmony with nature. Elephants roam freely here and tigers are sighted occasionally as well. Various species of deer, monkeys and birds also live here.

Edakkal caves are two natural rock formations believed to have been formed by a large split in a huge rock and is situated at 1200 ft above sea level. The carvings inside are extremely beautiful. A trek up the majestic Ambukuthi Hills is required to reach these caves. Inside the caves are pictorial drawings and engravings that indicate the presence of ancient human settlements in the region.

After visiting these places we transfer you back to resort for the day for a much deserved rest.

Day 4:

Today is our last day of the tour. Hence after breakfast we check you out of the resort and we shall we visiting two offbeat destinations of Wayanad on the way: Soochipara falls and 900 Kandi.

Soochipara or Sentinel Rock falls are famous for its majestic falls and breathtaking beauty. To reach the falls one need to do a small trek through well laid pathways, but the result is rewarding.

900 Kandi or 900 Acres is just unspoiled greenery. The adventure zone created in the midst of the woods offers you a plethora of adrenaline-triggering activities. The journey begins with an off-road trip, taking you on a whirlwind of a ride through the woods. En route, you chance upon glorious waterfalls, bewitching swamps, and angelic locations. It also have a glass bridge which offers skywalk.

Time to wind off our wild trip of Kerala with loads of memories and we shall drop you back at Calicut for departure.
